Grammaggio is a free application offering a range of grammar tasks designed based on empirical research into Specific Language Impairment (SLI), a condition characterized by delayed language mastery in children without hearing loss or other developmental delays. The app provides users with their scores alongside contextual information comparing their performance to peers of the same age.

Developed within a research framework funded by grants R01DC001803 and R42DC013749, Grammaggio aims to support understanding of SLI. However, it should be noted that the study did not assess the validity of screening for children who speak African American English (AAE). The research team acknowledges and appreciates the participation of over 1,000 individuals—including children, siblings, and parents—and the efforts of the dedicated research staff involved in this longitudinal project.
